THE 2011 BBC SCHOOL REPORT
TOR BANK SCHOOL
Tor Bank Sixth Form classes took part in the BBC School Report for the fourth year running. The students focused their interview on the school’s KIC Drama project. The BBC bus visited our school and the students used the amazing facilities in it to record their interview. The student’s interviewed David, the KIC Drama tutor and also different students that take part in his lessons.
That wasn’t all though. There was also a bigger surprise for our students. They actually received an invitation to visit the BBC headquarters in Belfast, where they had the opportunity to meet presenters and have a go at reading the news themselves. They also went live on the Hugo Duncan show!! They loved it!!
We would like to say a big thank you to all the BBC staff that made this experience so enjoyable for us and also a special thanks to our BBC tutor, Helen Thompson, who has been supporting our school with the news report every year. Our Sixth Formers loved working with her.
